I am only at a lvl 17 right now and want opinions on specing in frost line. Provide pros and cons if you would. Thanks.

The Frost tree is very much based on Survivability more than anything. In addition, there are many talents based around upping your crit damage. Shatter will give you a huge chance to crit on frozen targets and there are talents which increase your crit damage to 100%.
Fire tree is nice because of the high chance of crit. You'll see typically higher numbers than the frost tree, but your survivability is a lot lower.
Arcane is simply a tree to up your damage / raidabily.
Leveling with arcane is simply stupid.
My suggestion is if you are on a PvE server, go fire. Burn the mobs down, and you don't have to worry about a rogue popping up and ganking you.
PvP server, I would roll frost. You'll be able to recover from any possibly situation quite easily.

Frost is constant DPS
Fire is Burst DPS
Arcane is "spike" DPS. Basically Arcane is a steady DPS (a bit worse off than Frost (IMHO)) that can also burst (as seen with the Arcane schorch/pyro builds)Arcane is a hybrid tree.
You can put all talents in frost or in fire and not be making a mistake, but arcane needs something to support it.
THe scorch arcane built I mention is pretty simple. You spec in fire to get improved scorch and pyroblast, you spec in arcane to get presence of mind. You start a fight with a long cast pyroblast, then you scorch 5 times to get the debuff on the target, and you presence of mind pyroblast for an instant cast. Its somewhat of a 3 minute mage, which is why you use your talents in fire and arcane to complement this build.

Mona is retard....Frost is for raids...Fire helps you lvl faster considering it does a good amount of dmg at that lvl. Frost is also good for lvling once your lvl 40+ and have a lot of mana gear

fire = raids
frost=increased armor and enhancement spells
arcane=miscelaneous effects that are good.
