Depends on the type of food being eaten. Chips would be crunch or chomp. Mashed potatoes would be different.

"Smacking" or "lip-smacking" is like when you make a lot of noise with your mouth when you eat. If it's liquid, soup, or noodles in liquid, it's "slurping".
