The premise is that you have this $10,000 and it has to be donated to only one, legitimate charity, which of the many worthy ones would you choose to help?

Would you choose an environmental cause? Perhaps one to fight a specific disease such as diabetes or breast cancer?

Please share your choice. If you're uncomfortable naming the specific charity, please let us know what it is in general terms.

Thank you in advance.

Look within yourself for answers. I am sure you have watched tv and read newspapers, and at one time or another you may have even experienced it yourself in full-living color. I am talking about the need that exists today. Personally, I would split the 10K and donate portions to charities, organizations, etc. do some good in the world. Let's fight breast cancer, autism, alzheimer's and other illnesses that are rampant. This is just an idea, theoretically. I hope you will use your money wisely.

Any local medical relief for bills (a local hospital or clinic) - I do not give money for disease research unless it is to a specific hospital or private group. The larger corporate non-profits pay their higher ups too much and not enough goes into medical research.

im not sure exactly which one i would choose, but i know it would be a small, local one.. one where i could personally see the affect my money had.. something like a food pantry or the humane society

i probly wouldnt give it to a large national charity, just because ive heard of some that spend up to 90% of the money that comes in to pay their employees and to buy advertisments or fundraisers, etc.. i wouldnt want all my money going to that

I'm not an expert on charitys but here's what I would do with 10,000 dollars, I'd give it to one of those poor orphanages in Africa or some where else...anywhere with poor children.

I'd choose a charity devoted to research and families who have children with autism. That is very important to me, and it's spreading in cases like wildfire these days.....
