As a heterosexual married man who goes to church every Sunday, I must be honest and say that I don't understand all of the uproar. Not being gay, gay marriage is not an issue that keeps me up at nights. And if it really is a sin, it is not my sin.

It is hard for me to believe that some people actually think it will somehow destroy society. As if allowing straight people to get married and divorced over and over again is fine but gay people get married once and the bloody sky is going to come crashing down on our heads.

Quite possibly it REALLY is a fear that if gays are allowed to get married everyone will see how they can have loving stable relationships too. Then homosexuality itself might just seem a bit more acceptable. Then heterosexual conservatives will lose their favorite "whipping boy" so to speak. And then the greatest of horrors will become a reality, attention will be focused on other sins like divorce, adultery be it real or just fantasized, greed...things heterosexual conservatives do all the time.

Um there are people who don't have any religious beliefs who don't agree with gay marriage...But anyway, I don't think there is any real reason. People are just stupid and think that gay marriage will ruin society in some way. I'm a Christian and I'm not exactly okay with being gay, but I don't judge anyone who is and I think everyone deserves the same rights. Denying someone the right to marry on the basis of sexual orientation is as bad as denying someone the right to marry based on race or something.

Very true! Rock on.
Human kind just seems to love to have a group of people to look down upon and to treat as less than equal. We definitely have to evolve from that - it is so terribly unhealthy.
Keep speaking up!

It would change our entire social setup. I dont see why there cant be a separate name for it, but with the same rights and tax benefits and etc just by a different title.

Because it is against nature. Animals live by nature. So ought to we humans. Give the immoral relationship any name but 'marriage'. The Bible and the other Holy Books say it is Satanic. Why not ponder over this. This relationship does not build a family. And the families build a nation. Not the machines or the perversions.

it is different, and just like with the whole civil rights movement in the 60s it scares the hell out of ppl who disapprove.......so outlaw it and you dont have to see it, think about it, or hear about the wedding, kids, etc.
