Nope! Its their choice, and lots of other people 'serve their country' too doing they're jobs. A lot of people aren't sure they believe in the cause anyway and that soilders do more damage than good! They should be treated of course, but I see no reason why they should be better treated.
Does a fireman get special treatment for an injury saving someone from a burning building? xxxx

In a perfect world no, all should receive the best hospital care. But I do think that someone who has been injured in the defence of the public or the country should take presidence over me (as an ordinary UK citizen). They are more likely to get injured and when they are physically injured they could not possibly do their job i.e. protecting the likes of me from coming to harm from bad guys. It's more important to get them back out defending Joe Public than it is for Joe Public to get the most speedy treatment to go back and sit behind a desk or work on the shop floor, Joe Public can afford to take a few weeks sick and it doesn't matter so much.

I served in the South African army where they had military hospitals around the country offering specialised treatment. The best of the best physicians were employed and paid ridiculous salaries. The best equipment was employed by these hospitals and paid for by taxpayer but not made accessible to the taxpayer unless you had contacts. Meanwhile, hospitals dotted around the nation were struggling for private and public donations to keep departments open with minimal government support. Ultimately, if soldiers are on duty or in combat, then yes, not better treatment but preferential in terms of jumping the queue . They are after all 'protecting' us.

Is a soldier no longer an person-friendly uk Citizen? particularly rightly the deserve high quality scientific interest and have self assurance me they do get it(Ex Royal Marine), yet each and every uk citizen is worth of the superb scientific therapy this united states of america has to grant. The defense force has the countless superb scientific team here in the united kingdom, in addition they have their honest share of the kit and a few genuine sturdy rehabilitation centres for injured workers. i could provide you first hand info as I genuinely have broken the different legs jointly as serving in the Forces and being a civilian, The therapy grew to become into precisely an analogous, because of the fact the protection stress despatched me to a civilian scientific institution to undergo surgical operation.

Yes they should. They are extrodinary human beings to do what they do. Its not even like you can say the money makes it worth their while.
They sign up and volunteer to put their life on the line for their country and I think its the least that we can do as a thank you to offer them the best care possible if they come back hurt or maimed.
Also a soldier can come back from a war zone with very different injuries to what civilian medical staff are used to dealing with. I doubt if you get many rocket attack casualties in your average a+e!
So they should get state of the art military only hospitals.

I think soldiers should be in military hospitals, most of these have been closed down. To place these severely injured people in local hospitals causes a strain on local services. Many think, well it's their choice to be in the forces. I think many soldiers are very young, and the choice made, is the result of government BS, often is because they come from poor background and areas. I think it worth watching the film "Born on the 4th of July." Read "A Prayer for Owen Meaney" by John Irving.

You cat's should have VA hospitals like in the US. Some are excellant, others are fair. We strive to be the best. I take pride in my job, but I don't have direct patient care. Some people are really good at that while others including me aren't. During a code once I looked into this one dudes eyes & he was really bearing down on my arm, now I had really long hair at this time & some people thought I looked like JC. So while I was talking to this cat I told him to relax everything would be ok, he looked right into my eyes took a breath smiled & slipped away. He looked so peaceful, & I really felt guilty like a led him on, I didn't want him to die, but maybe that's what gave him the power to control his own fate. I only know that my presence there helped him in some way.
Sorry, I digress. Soldiers should be given the best treatment possible but not any better than someone who can afford to pay for the same treatment in private industry. Not all soldiers deserve our sympathy, most do & I'm glad I'm not the one who this hedious decision is thrust upon. Please God let me do it for the right reasons. Please don't let me hurt another & others like him. As usual Lord you never make anything hard. I love you all & hope to see all y'all out & out & agout
Thanks

I served as a soldier and have been in a military hospital. I then went to work in civilian hospitals. Military people do require special services and a different atmosphere. They often suffer from traumatic events and it is difficult to work through this surrounded by people who have no clue. They deserve high quality medical services and the latest technology; so do civilians - it shouldn't be one or the other, we are a rich society.

They shouldn't have better care, But if they are in a war and are injured it is their government's duty to take care of them, and to do so humanely.
Personally I think that the quality of the care should be equal, because every citizen plays an important role in the country.

I don't think soldiers would expect better treatment than ordinary UK citizens if they were asked.
What they would expect though is to be respected and not told to remove their uniforms for fear of offending muslim patients, as was the case in a recent incident.

Our serving soldiers ,
deserve the best medical care there is .
They are a special case .
The National Health Service ,was a service of excellence ,
It is now a second class care system .
( with many holes and faults at patient level)
Our soldiers deserve better than that !
Sigh we all need proper care .....
