Norton Systemworks is much better. I wouldn't recommend Norton Internet Security, its not as good. Systemworks is the only good software Noton has. It does not hog the system like other say it does. I run the best 2 software products, Norton Systemworks and Spysweeper with Antivirus. I have no problem running both of these at the same time. Spysweeper is an elite program and is so good. It catches and shields everything and covers over 170,600 threats. Well above anyone else. Spysweeper is in a league of its own. I would highly recommend it. I would stay away from anything that is free. There is a reason why they are free. They are not good.

Your subscription is for updates, to combat new nasties as they arise. You could continue with the same core program and just renew the subcription for another year, but I always upgrade the whole program - just in case it deals with a new type of threat. This could be a very good idea this/next year, bearing in mind the recent new virus, which attacks the AV software, not Windows. OEM versions are usually available quite cheaply on the 'net. IIRC, mine cost about £15.

You will have to renew your subscription every year to use it. I agree that Norton is a resource hog, but you need MORE than just an antivirus such as AVG. That is just ONE part of full internet security.

You will have to buy it. However, I suggest you don't. Norton is a notoriously bad product, in that it slows down your computer to near-standstill. Try AVG instead. It's FREE, and you can download it here:
