I play on the schools soccer team and on a club team on the weekends. I need a job but, i wont have time for it during the week because i practice and have games mondays-fridays. I barely have time to sleep and do my homework after. I can't quit the schools team because i need the credits. On the weekends i only play on saturdays and the team always puts me as goalie so i get really bored. and the team isnt all the great to start with. so what should i do? quit the weekend team or get a job? i need the money and can gain experience....

I played High School soccer and I still play club soccer. I quit my High School team to get a job (which is where I'm at right now) It's too hard to play High School soccer and have a job during the week. I think it's a good idea to quit and get a job. You'll gain much for experience from the job than you will a club soccer team where you weren't having fun anyway because you were playing in the net.

I think you've got it. Quit the weekend team and get a job for one day on the weekend. I think it's also important to have one day that you can plan to do other things on to. You only get one chance to be young so don't over work/study/play yourself to death. Make sure you leave time to just be you and relax, or party.

some day you will be face with that fact you're to old to play, or your injured, or that the competition isn't there anymore.....

play as much as you can......

talk to your coach.....See if you can get a weekend job that starts after your games or before. do you have to travel much for soccer?

plus you have the rest of your life to work.
get a waitressing job or at coffeeshop or mcdonalds. and just put down you can't work on monday's and friday's. and sat. mornings
