I found what appears to be a gold chain around 14 inches long. It say 925 italy on it, I was wondering if it is real gold. PLEASE HELP THX!!!!!!!1

925 italy is really pure sterling silver, not gold. Gold will have 10k,14k, or 18k. Also the numbers 585/14k and 750/18k. These numbers are usually found on the clasp. Remember all that glitters ain't gold.

925 is the stamp for sterling silver. Most likely, yours is a silver chain with a gold plating. You can take it to a jewelry store where they can test it for you by buffing it. If it is plated, the gold will come off and the silver will show.

Take it to a local jewelry dealer. They can tell and many won't charge you anything.
