I don't think Oprah is racist in the common definition of the word. She does apparently prefer black values and culture, but that is to be expected. Her comments appear to be comedy or at least attempts at comedy, and designed to engender her to her black audience. Nothing more then spin doctoring and mass manipulation. I have spoken to her personally once at a function I went to, and she did not in any way appear to be racist...

YES, it's a double-standard isn't?
If a white person did that, their would be a 3-day non-stop news cycle morning, noon and night plus documentaries on the prominent white person who said that.
This is another reason why I've gone from being color-blind to ethno-centric. Oprah obviously doesn't see the world as a "world citizen" but as a "black person who's a citizen of the world."
By the way, just because I'm a proud European American doesn't mean I hate or dislike anybody. Actually I like all races and find them fascinating. My ethno-centrism just means I woke up to how the game is played in reality. Every other race has their groups, their agendas to advance their people. It's about time people of European heritage did the same.
And just because most of big business is owned by white people or jews doesn't mean anything. They don't represent me.

I am not sure.
But if she is she can afford to be. The Whites have made her Super Rich by buying her magazines, books, watching her movies, and supporting her Talk Show.
I think she may be selective in the people she likes. She has good friends of all the races.
But unfortunately, when you grow up dirt poor with hardship in poor Mississippi during the 70's how can you not be racist deep in your psychy. Black were not treated nicely back then and they had a hard time getting out of the poverty of their roots. It has to take a tole on you and always be in the back of your mind.
People love Oprah, and that is why she is so rich.

Racist against who???? I seriously doubt it. But, I don't personally know her... so who knows. A few examples might help though.
Amazing how so many white people here believe she's racist when her show demographic is stay @ home white women. A majority of the people you see in her audience are white women. And she's always giving tons of stuff away on her shows, and its not only to blacks.
She's racist because she built a school in South Africa for girls??? How retarded is that! If Bill Gates built a school in Sweden, would he be considered racist?
She's racist, but she basically started Dr. Phil with his show, and Rachel Ray. Now, how is that racist. Just because she helps her own, she's racist.
Could it just be that she's a black woman with power, everyone seems to have this sentiment???

If oprah is a racist, than we need more like her.
Oprah is one of the greatest humanitarians on the planet.
