I don't do it no more, but in the past i did,
i would cough and and try to sound like i have a
cold.. and they would say" you sound awful, and
after i hang up i almost believed i was sick,
dam i was a great actress.

I don't have to make up anything - keep it short and simple.
"I won't be in today." If you don't abuse the policy and you are caught up and just need a mental health day just go for it.
I talked to my boss about that once - she complained about other people who called in and listed alot of nauseating things - vomit, diarrhea, etc while trying to maintain a "sickish" voice. She wished people would just say, "I'm not coming in" and leave it at that.

You have to watch something really sad before you call in..I mean crying like a baby sad!! Then you call in....When you cry everything is connected so your nose starts running and all that good stuff...You will sound very congested and no one will be the wiser..

I work when I am sick, I never call in sick unless I just can't hold my head up.

just say you think you have that 24 hour flu, food poisening, or a fever. pinch your nose so you sound congested and talk slower than normal. good luck faker!

nope I just say I can't come in and if they ask for a reason I tell them I'll bring a doctors note my Doctor will sign anything I ask her to.
