Well I would suggest that we stay *IF* we knew:

1. what the mission is
2. who "the enemy" is
3. what is the strategy to defeat "the enemy"
4. what kind of plan will we implement to make this happen.

First, you have to know what the definition of "victory" is, if you want to be able to achieve it. Is it to establish peace and security? Is it to establish a Jeffersonian democracy? To establish an opressive regime who is friendly to american interests?

Next, you have to know who you are fighting -- please be able to define "the enemy" in more specific terms than a Muslim brown person, because if that is what you are going by, you might as well take out the entire country. If you're really stupid, you might say "islamofascist" -- we have a thing for using buzzwords and not being able to really define them in this country. Is your enemy the Iraqi insurgant? Is it the Al'Queda fighter? Is it the Militia leaders and fighters? Is it the tribal Sheik? Do you even know?

Once you are able to pin point exactly WHO "the enemy" is, how do you propose to eliminate that enemy? Are you going to seal off the border and hunt them down one by one? Are you going to have air strikes in the area only to demolish the civilian population after the enemy has long since fled and set up base in another area (whack-a-mole)? Do you propose a diplomatic solution?

Finally, HOW do we make it all happen. Would all of you war supporters who want to stay "til the mission is finished" feel confident enough to enlist and serve the country until all this is accomplished? Do you even think this is a realistic goal for us? If not, why are you advocating other US servicemen and women risk their lives when no plan is in place??

My answer would be : Either be able to answer ALL these questions, or redeploy our forces and seal off the Iraqi border to try and stop the instability we caused from spreading throughout the region.

Leave- If the ways Bush is handling things right now continues, then its high time we should leave.

our troops should be over their rebuilding iraq not dying from car-bombs. i say pull out and when the middle-east is stable(if it ever is) our troops can over their and help rebuild without getting shot at, then they can go back.
