At various times and places through out the region the indigenous groups were:

Olmecs
Zapotecs
Toltecs
Mixtecs
Mayans
Aztecs

I'm sure there's likely more but I'd say these are the more well known ones. Also, NOT Incas - wrong region, that's Peru.

The term was started by the French when Napoleon was dreaming of a "Latin America" ruled by France since French, Spanish, and Portuguese are all "Latin" based languages. The dream ended with the "Louisiana Purchase" by the US, but the term "Latin America" still stands. The French seek common denominations or origins between Spain, Portuguese, and France which is Latin.

The question as asked is meaningless. There were many polities (the Olmec, the Maya, and the Aztecs, to name a few) and tribes that at different times were located in the territory of the modern-day Mexico.
