"We're going to name the condition after you..."

The worst thing I think I would hear at my doctor’s office would be very simple:

“How would you like something named after you?”

My reason is this: Cancer is horrible, dieing is ghastly, STD’s are awful, mistakes are horrific, and drunken doctors a bit fun…but certainly not one whom I want prodding my pasty white body. All in all, these examples are what many people have gone through and will go through in the future. But if you get the terrible news you are suffering from some unknown illness, you have no support groups, you have no hope. Because let’s face it folks, when you get a disease named after you, it means you died from the before mentioned ailment!

I don’t know…but personally that would be the worst thing I could ever hear at the doctor !

Grab a magazine- after we look under the hood and check your oil, we're going to rip off that old tail pipe for you.

(For the squeamish- I'm just switching what the mechanic said with Dr. Moneybags' assurance that it is operable for a small fee of $60 grand.)

P.S. I'm disappointed in you, asker- you spelled Truthiness incorrectly!

Doc says, "I have good news and bad news". Your penis has grown 2 inches since your last visit, but it's malignant.

We have been unable to locate your medical records....

I used to do this job! .............. it's amazing how many health professionals do not keep track of patients medical files that are still in / on / near their desks, and medical records clerks such as myself were not made aware they were holding them!
