A good brand is Clinique...it is a little costly, but worth it.(you can get it at the mall). A little cheaper is Covergirl, which has great blush and eyeshadows. Loreal Paris and Maybelline has good foundation, and Max Factor has good eyeliner and mascara. You can get all of these at Walmart.(except for Clinique). Have fun!

Oh those people drive me nuts....
there's nothing wrong with wearing more makeup.

What's the point in wearing it at all, if you want it to look like you aren't wearing any?
That's just stupid.

First. You don't want to spend lots of money on the expensive stuff like MAC, don't get me wrong...I love MAC, but until you know what looks best on you or what works with your skin tone, there's no point in spend tons of cash.
Second. Have you tried haveing one of those stands in the store do your makeup for you? They can help you find the colors that work for you. They sometimes offer classes where they'll even teach you some techniques. And don't forget to ask if the have samples. Sometimes they have lots of samples.
Third. If you want to try stuff out on your own. Get the cheaper stuff at Wal-Mart. They have a vast range of colors for you to choose from. This will help you find your colors.

i suggest practicing w/ cheapie brands like wet&wild, etc, from target or walmart. then when u know what u Like and don't like, then go to a dept store or Sephora (or Ulta) and ask them for good brands depending on ur skin type, as well as what they suggest for ur face.

the basics would be a Black and Brown pencil eyeliner, eyeshadow palatte in basic colors (everyone should have browns, and then a few pastels such as lavendar, green, and pink), an eyebrow powder w/ brown and gray shades + angled brush, correct color Foundation and Powders for ur skin, concealer, lip gloss (whatever colors u like, or is "in"), and a blush or bronzer kit w/ brush. u also need a good mascara, i like maybelline XXL.

once u have these, it's just a matter of Quality and how u apply it to make urself look Good.

try this look on yourself:

clean face. moisturize. apply concealer to blemishes. if ur skin is prety good, skip the foundation and just put some powder. darken ur brows a bit with the eyebrow powder and angled brush. apply a light brown eyeshadow to your lids, and if u want, use a darker brown to emphasis the outer shape of the eye. then to apply eyeliner, tilt head back, and then stare Downwards into the mirror. apply pencil liner to inner corner of eye as close to the lash line as possible and continue to the outer corner, appying it a bit thicker at the outer end. then apply mascara to top lashes only. if u want, get a white shadow or pencil and line the bottom eyelash line. apply blush to the cheekbones and apples of cheeks, and top w/ lip gloss.

u'll look great! :)

I like Physcians Formula. Available at Wal Mart, Target, Walgreens...well pretty much everywhere. I use the Power Palatte. The Multi Colored Highlighter. Its so lighweight and natural. You just put on concealer prior to use and apply over the concealer. It evens out your skin tone, takes out any redness. Its awesome I love it. Other than I use Cliniques blush and sometimes their lip stuff. And I use Covergirls mascara in Triple Thick or something.

There's nothing wrong with wearing more make-up! You just need someone to teach you how to wear it so that it enhances your beauty and not takes away from it. MaryKay cosmetics has a website with a free virtual make-over and you can even order online. I am a licensed cosmetologist and I love make-up and I've learned everything possible by going to Robert Jones Seminars (professional make-up artist). You should check it out!

this will be the best advise you will get. and your never thought of you can go to any fine department store i.e. Macy's Bloomingdale's, Sak's and go to any makeup counter and tell them that. you don't have to necessary buy what they are using if it is to expensive but they will tell you what colors you can where and what you need to do to take care of your skin the right way and even get some samples. and it is fun to do.

Don't wear more! The whole idea of makeup is to enhance our natural beauty, not cover it up!
