buying property when retired?

I am retired, my house is paid for , I am going to relocate and buy a cheaper property, will I experience any difficulty , with regards to credit rating etc.

If you are selling the current house and have no other debts, there would be no problem I can think of. If you have the money, you can buy a house pretty much anywhere you like.
