Sandpaper is the answer, but it has to be HEAVY grit, and cut the hems off (before sanding obviously), then pull at the sanded edges w/your fingers.

Fraying the edges on the bottoms of jeans can be attained by normal use (wear and tear).
BUT,
if you really want to get it NOW,
then just step on the edges with your shoes several times
until you get the frays right.

Warning.. though.. yes they will fray but the more washes u do the shorter they will get because they will continue to fray up. So if you want once you wash them , dry them and sew a couple to stitches above the fray line to prevent them from becoming short. :o)

u cut maybe a tiny bit of the bottom off wash the jeans and they should be frayed..

Buy longer jeans than normal and step over them, over time they will fray.

try cuttin the bottom of them with scissors but don't cut them too short or they'll flood then wash them in the washing machine they'll fray for ya ....I love doin that to my jeans it rocks

yeah just cut off bottom and wash them, they get more frayed w/ time.

if you have a seam ripper would help. you need to pull the threads out, so that you don't just cut them off. So you need a pretty small sharp object
