With the extremely high divorce rate, I really do wonder what brings them together too.
When my mother was young you married and stayed with that person unless he physically abused you.. through the sickness and health, poverty and wealth, good times and bad. My mother was strict Presbyterian and did not believe in premarital sex. So there was no pre wedding sex bonds.
There was, however, a great loyalty to the family unit. IE: My father died when my parents were both only 36 years old (birthday's only two weeks apart). My mother never remarried and only dated one man for a couple months in all these years. She thought that over and even though he wanted to marry her, she decided that it would be better for 'the family'.. my dads, hers and theirs, (we kids) for her to not involve another person in her life, and in the raising of us children.
When somebody asked her one day, "Why haven't you remarried?", her reply was "When you have been married to one good, gentle, loving, husband and parent, you have to realize that you will never be that lucky again". She is still in love with my dad's memory today.
Perhaps the real question should be. What tears today's marriages apart?

human being together is impossible unless alien invade us...

we still will have our differences. race, religion, culture.. only the interference of other intelligent being (other species) can help human unit as a human being together...

until the thread is felt.. we will continue to hurt one another... War, racism and many more

When you meet someone, see them for who they are. Don't judge them by religion, colour, ethnicity etc. That will bring human beings together.

Usually, we are at our best together when things are at there worse. Natural disasters, tragedy's, terror attacks, etc. We all put our differences aside and work together for the common good. After things settle down, we all go back to constant bickering and infighting.

I believe that this is mostly a need for companionship primarily. The close intimate time is quite nice as well and usually grows as time goes on.
