I recently overheard a conversation that my boss I believe was having about me on the phone. I am not sure if he knew where I was or not. Talked about salary, resume on the internet. Lack of a girlfriend in fairly suburan area. All was aware of dark horse of myself arriving late to class after having a one night stand right before a test in their training . Each traine costs 100k for a year in expense to be trained. Major metroplitian area filled with young singles is 30 mintues away. I applied for a transfer with the job 6 months into it. I am in training program the company has office in the major city but I am in their suburan office. Since I have applied for the transfer things have steadily gone down hill. I have been continutally micromanaged and belideled. Cited negatively in performance reviews,issues have been fixed. An heard the boss said he things I will quit since i wont be transfered. If I hang it out will I ever get transfer? Will they fire me first or get me to quit.

Don't ever apply for transfer, unless you know someone else in the new job place that is in managment position and wants you there. Basically, your bosss feels hurt by you who wants to leave him after he gave you all the training. So, he will try to work you as hard as possible, as long you finished the job on time and decent enough, he has no excuses to fire you. You can also document how he treats you, if he is out of line. And when HR issue you the pink slip, you have something for them too. If that happen, maybe they will keep the record on file to say you resigned. Because got fire isn't good thing on the record.

You know I am acually going through the same thing right now...I put in for a transfer, and they are not doing it for me, or it will be a long time. Im not sure, but the guy that I dont like, and he is also one of the reasons I want a transfer, is being increasingly annoying lately, and Ive almost walked out the door a few times. But Id rather not give him the pleasure of seeing me go, because thats what he wants...So im being proactive in this by dong double what I used to do, making them see what they are going to lose, really just working my *** off to prove that I do deserve this transfer.
It does me no good to get angry, ive already tried that. And if I can put up with it for this long, I can put up with it until they transfer me....and they will transfer me (=< Just act like everything is peachy, ignore them unless you have to pay attention, and go above and beyond in front of the people that are in charge of your transfer...Kissing *** is hard to do when your pissed..but its the best way..cuz...they cant fire you if your not doing anything wrong (=

He will more than likely force you to quit. He doesn't want to deal with the unemployment thing.
