I don't vote until I know who I want to win (usually not until the top 5 or less). I don't base it on one night's performance, but by who has captured my heart througout the season. I look at the whole package. It's not always necessarly the best vocalist, but the best performer, that appeals to me. Another person might be a great performer, but not sing my style of music. Like Lakisha...she's an awesome vocalist, but I just don't dig that music. Gina is not as strong vocally, but I like her better becase she's more my "type" so to speak.

I think on a singing contest, voice should come first. I do view the season as a whole, but there have been many contestants that have changed my mind. Looks don't matter. I can't see them when I play their CDs anyway. Personality means alot to me. If I don't like them, I would not vote for them, nor would I buy their music. I usually stick to the same person each week and vote for them. I will admit when Simon is particually hard on someone I have been tempted to give them a sympathy vote, but haven't yet. Although I think alot of people do. Good question.

ok well I CAN NOT vote due to no land line and text message through at&T only....kinda crappy.
But if i were to vote I would look at the season as a whole with voice alone and if they are acting properly
(antonella's slam to simon about Hudson didn't not suit me well....good for tv though)
However would i think about voting for someone i would rather listen to in the finals....

I vote based on sheer talent and the progression of each performance, each week. So far, Melinda and LaKisha have been the strongest women talent wise, and to me, Jordin Sparks has progressed the most. She is coming out of her young shell. I do NOT vote on looks at all. This isnt Miss America.

I normally try to pick two of my favorites right from the start and I try to stick with both threw the whole season. and every year since American Idol has been on I have only been wrong once about the next American Idol. And that was Taylor and Katherine.

My vote changes with each week. I vote only on performance, the way they sound that week. I am guilty of voting on looks, like Lakisha I know she sings very well but I didn't vote for her because I don't like the way she looks. But sometimes I do vote for the same person over and over but that's only because I see them in the season as a whole. Like Sundance, I loved him from the very start and even if he sings bad i'm still gonna vote for him

honestly i vote after the top 12...i'm lazy about the whole thing. really once i like someone i tend to vote for them as long as they are still singing well. if someone bombs i might wait a week to see how they do but if you stink 2 weeks in a row there is no reason to vote for you.
