At first glance it does look like he needs to open up his tight wallet. But he does believe in building through the draft for several good reasons.
1. Calibur players in the NFL are getting younger every year, especially with regard to positions with speed. Why get a 30 year old declining player for more money than a rising young player?
2. If he does dip into free agency he does at the end. All the players that got signed already got spectacular deals because the teams wasted no time displaying need and gave into demands. Ted Thompson waits for them to give into his demands, which is why he has so much cap space to spend every year.
3. Look at how many free agent flops have happened over the past couple years. Teams spending big money and getting no results and cutting the player and getting a cap penalty. That is bad management.
So when you see all these signings and money getting dipped out, ask yourself if you ever hear about those GM's again? The redskins have continually screwed themselves over for the past 10 years with too much free agent signing. And teams that build through the draft continually make the playoffs and win the most superbowls.
Just try to be patient man, I am getting worried too, but if Ted gets caught up in the bling bling of big money players, he risks crippling the team for years to come by spending too much money right away.

My guess is no. Moss is going to stay in Oakland because they want to much for him. And really what do you think the Pack needs? They made a serious push at the end of the season with the youngest team in the league. Maybe a premier RB would be nice since the lost of Green, but I think the Draft will solve all their needs...

I think they will hit free agency when Brett Farve retires, but untill then there not thinking about the Packers there thinking about Farve. They should let aaron rodgers start and move the team for the future..... Im a Bears fan so i love Farve coming back, that just means another year in the wrong direction for the Pack.
P.S. GREEN BAY SUCKS!!!!!!!!

Randy Moss wants to play with Favre, but he wants a Ring as well. The Packers would try to bring him in but he is taking a serious look at NE as well to try and get that ring.
Don't know if the Packers could give him what they want. The Packers will fufill their needs though in the draft by taking Lynch with the 16th pick.
They are possibly looking at parting ways with Aaron Rodgers who could bring in a decent trade proposal

I heard a rumor that they were going to try to acquire Randy Moss from Oakland. Don't know how much truth there is to that or how much impact it will actually have, but that is one rumor.
