Good Question. Sorry Yankee fans, but you just don't have room for him, unless you trade Abreu, Damon, or Matsui, and I really don't see that happening.

Sox? They'd have to trade Crisp (no big deal) and hope Ichiro can move to Centerfield. He's got the best arm in the game.

Mets? Highly likely. No real right fielder (Shawn Green Blows).

Angels? And put Vlad where??? (Not Likely)

Oakland? Maybe, but they just don't have the cash.

LA Dodgers? There's a nice fit...they need a right fielder now that Drew is gone.

Final Answer? Only Ichiro knows.

I would hate to see him end up in NY, but he would have a huge fan base there and be really marketable.

I dont see seattle being a contender in the next 5-6 years, so if i were him, i would want out.

I would love to see him in a Sox uniform giving defensive support to Dice-K. The Sox could use a solid lead off hitter now that Damon is long gone

However im not familar with the structure of his contract in Seattle and im sure that will be the major factor....anyone know when he can become a free agent?

regrettably he in all probability will. The Mariner's have by no potential been primary to drop too plenty money on a single famous person. Examples Randy Johnson Ken Griffey Jr. A-Rod i'm unable to bear in mind one all-famous person they have retained after loose business enterprise as is the case with maximum small industry communities. The M's won't be able to outbid the likes of the Yankees, and crimson Soxs etc... i'm a M's fan and need they make an excellent attempt to maintain him yet I comprehend it somewhat is greater then in all probability he will sign a large $$$ deal and flow on. Felix for the Cy, Ichiro for MVP, and Putz often is the #a million closer in myth baseball! i'm hoping LoL..

in the end virtually all these guys want MORE MORE MORE i.e. the advertising bucks so they want to go to NY or LA but mostly NY.... they dont know the word loyalty and they are consumed with GREED. They have 50-100 mil in assets and they claim they are taking a better deal elsewhere because they 'have to take care of my family'.... So If I am Ichiro I go to them Mets. I avoid the Yankee circus and the Mets appear to be a serious World Series contender

I don't know where I'd go if I were Ichiro, but as a Cardinal fan, I would love to see him in St. Louis.

An outfield of Duncan, Ichiro, and Edmonds would look sweet until Jimmy decides to retire.

Absolutely. I would love to see Ichiro in Anaheim. He would fit well in their system. Either way, the man deserves a shot at a championship. He won't get it with the Mariners.

I suspect whomever ponies up the most cash.

That shortens the list considerably - in likely order:
1. Yankees
2. Red Sox

Yankees - who sits or gets to give him a place to play? Giambi is your DH, so odd man out in the OF is going to end up elsewhere. Abreu, Damon and Matsui - one has to go.

Red Sox - You've just signed JD Drew. Ramirez or Crisp has to go. I think this is an easier call. You can deal Crisp pretty easily.

This is his 8th season there and the team is no closer to being a contender than they were a year ago. It's time to move on.

He could end up in Cleveland, Philadelphia, or Atlanta. All three are young promising teams with good future outlook. They also have the money to spend.
