Do you think they just expected not to be caught or recognized at all?

They probably were blitzed on drugs and watching "Sugar & Spice" when this brilliant idea came to light.
I wouldn't be surprised if a major motion picture was in the works.

they more then likely thought if they robbed the bank and were so pretty and young some film director would want to make a movie of their life and fall from grace.there is no end to the lengths some people will go to be famous or even infamous

I can't imagine that they went into a bank to rob it hoping to be caught. But they certainly didn't do much to disguise themselves. They think the whole thing is a joke.
