I feel that a gay marriage is the same as a straight marriage. It's all about love.

there is not any such element as "gay marriage." you don't get a "gay driving force's license" or a "gay construction permit," you purely prepare to the appropriate bureau and get the appropriate permit. it somewhat is called MARRIAGE EQUALITY. "gay marriage" is a term invented by using the terrific suited wing to make it sound as though we've been annoying some form of particular rights, not equivalent rights. it somewhat is a civil rights concern and has not something to do with every physique's non secular dogma. Civil marriage is a controversy of equivalent justice under the regulation, as assured by using the 14th substitute of the U. S. shape.

I am in a lesbian relationship with the girl who i believe is my life partner. I feel that marriage would only strengthen our commitment to each other. I believe cival unions are the only option unfortunately. I would really like to know what is so wrong with getting married to the person you love and want to spend your life with and why its not possible under heteronormative circumstances.

I think it is fine, gay people also have a right to marry, and if ai is done in a holy way not an elopement, then to me it is really fine.Gay realtionshps are like any other relationships and infact they are far better.

Marriage is between a man and a woman .....has been that way forever. It is also a religious ceremony. What gay people want are the same rights as married people. Can't anyone give them those rights without calling it marriage? I don't care if they claim each other on their tax returns. If they're making good money it isn't going to do them much good anyway! I just don't think they should call it marriage.

Be gentle with the thumbs down button.

I don't care one way or the other! If they like it, I love it! It's not my lifestyle by a long shot! And I let the God take care of all of these issues that I can't control! I don't have the time or the energy to waste on sitting in judgment of others when I'm not a perfect human being my own self. And please remember, there are no perfect human beings at all on this planet! So to the ones who sit in judgment, they need to look in their own closets or backyards before opening their mouths about others!

I think it ridiculous that gay marriage is not legal in every state...If this is a free country then everyone should be free. Not just the homophobic Republican Christians. If I am not free then do not tell me that I am.

I am 100% supportive of gays & lesbians having just as many rights as heterosexuals. My love life should be of absolutely no concern to anyone besides myself and my partener.

BUT i do have a severe dislike towards the term marriage. To me, it is a religiously sanctified institution that I want no part of. I could care less if the "Church" declares my ceremony legal or not. Its still the same "church" who views my lifestyle as a sin & a abomination. Its the same church who wishes they could send me and everyone else who loves whomever they choose to straight to hell. So why would i care if they agree to marry my partner and i?? I dont. I'm all for Civil Unions that allow us the right to be acknowledged in EVERY way.

I'm against it. Marriage should be a serious union between a man and a woman. It has been like that for centuries and now it's getting less and less serious. People don't honour the union anymore. Divorce rates are so high and now homosexual marriage is next to take away our traditions. It's so wrong. But I'm not religious so don't go thinking I'm a hardcore Christian with a problem with gays.

Well. Personally I would never marry another girl even though I do have some "encounters" with them. That being said I have NO PROBLEM what soever seeing two people of the same gender marry. I also get VERY upset at thees religious groups who try and oppose it. They have NO right to say that someone should not be able to marry. TO EACH HIS OWN!!! So to answer your question I have no issue with it go ahead!
