I'm not real sure but they induced me at 36 weeks due to preeclampsia and my son weighed 6lbs, 1oz so that doesn't seem all that big to me. You are 2 weeks behind in your pregnancy where I was and I was told my son would've weighed around 8lbs if they would not have had to induce me. A lot of women have babies who are 9lbs plus.

My son blew up all of a sudden but they didn't see anything wrong with his weight. The issue was that my pelvic bone was small and that's when the recommended a C section. The ultrasounds are not exactly correct they told me that the ultrasound can be more or less a pound or two. They said that my son weighed 7 pounds and half and he came out 8 pounds and 7 ounces, I was surprised. I made an C section the last option because it is fast but you take longer to heal. So just be patient and you're gonna be fine.

The baby gains most of its weight these last few weeks. And, those ultrasounds are not as accurate as they claim they are. They won't induce labor, because 6 and a half pounds is not that big for a baby. Many babies are born larger than that. Besides, it's not 100% accurate.
I was told my son was going to be a 9.5 to 10 pound baby, and they decided that I needed a C-Section. While they were stitching me back up, I was listening to the doctor, and he said, "Wow... only 8 and 1/2 pounds! I thought for sure that baby was going to be a lot bigger than that... Guess she could've delivered vaginally after all!"
Good luck to you!!!

they have to do an ultrasound with me too at 35 weeks due to the fact my previous baby weighed over 9 pounds at 38 weeks I've known since I was around 18 weeks I'm being induced at 37 weeks but they didn't induce me because of my son's size the first time but they might induce you after your baby gets so big who knows I'm high risk I always get induced.

Just remember, those estimated fetal weight measurments aren't always very accurate. At 35 weeks I was told my baby was 7lbs. Got another ultrasound at 38 weeks and was told the baby was well over 8lbs. He was born at 40 weeks and weighed only 7lbs. 11oz. I was so scared my baby was going to get too big!

Ultrasounds aren't always accurate. At 36 weeks they told me my son was 7lbs 13oz. I was terrified. I had him at 41 wks and he was 8lbs 2ozs. Still a big baby for my first. But I wouldn't worry. Your doctor will let you know when to worry. The baby is pretty much done developing besides lungs and gaining weight.

Don't rely on the ultrasound. They are not always accurate on the baby's measurement. They thought my son was going to be 9# and he was 7.11#. They will keep an eye on it.
Congrats on the pregnancy and good luck in the final weeks.

Ultrasounds are not accurate at determining baby's weight or length. They told me my daughter would be well over 8 lbs at 36 wks and she came out 6lbs. 7oz. Go figure.

If the doctor is concerned he will keep in eye on it, however I doubt they'll induce you unless it looks like an 11 lbs. baby or more. They would rather have it done naturally but are aware of your own risks if the baby's growing to be a monsterous size.
