I would say it would depend on the ring she has.If you paid a lot for the first ring you gave her why would she need a new one.I got an anniversary band for our 10th anniversary. But I didn't ask for it.My husband bought it for me.Because he felt bad about the fact that my original wedding ring and engagement ring together cost less than 200.00.But I didn't mind how little my ring cost.Because it was from his heart and we were very young and it was all he could afford. On the other hand she has been your wife for a long time.So you know she isn't just trying to take you for an expensive ring.So if it means that much to her and you can afford it.You could at least look into an anniversary ring for her.

Depends on some details...if you have to use credit to afford it, that will be a very expensive ring with the interest and you will be paying for it past the 20 year mark. So if you cannot afford cash at year 15, save up and pay cash at year 20. Secondly, is she wanting an add on eternity band, a redo setting with the current diamond, or a completely new ring? Discuss the emotional reasons behind the desire for a new ring.

Hey man, you have been with your lady for 15 years. Lots of good times have gone past, dealt with many things together. She obviously loves you, and vice versa. What you got is commitement.... A rare commodity in these times.
Buy her the ring. It's a trivial request, will make her happy, make you the "MAN"
Wish you both another 15 years and 15 after that.

Why wait? 15 yrs. is a great milestone! I got one for Christmas last year and we've been married 15 yrs. My first one since the wedding and it was so special to get it! It's what it represents, not the actual ring itself that matters.

As long as it's not a "replacement" ring (which I don't agree with), go ahead and get her something nice. I hinted and hinted and got an additional ring to match my set for our 10th anniversary.

Let your wife know that it will mean more if you were to get it for the 20th anniversary you can buy one with better quality & don't have to be pressured into buying something she might not like. Let her know it's the quality that your looking for of tha t perfect diamond like her. If it means that much to her then I suggest that you shop around for the five C's! (COLOR,CLARITY,CARAT,COST& COMPARISON) GOOD LUCK!!!
