My family is planning a trip to Disneyland this summer but they dont want to wait in the lines for the rides. Is there anyway I can buy special passes or something so we can cut in line?

No - Disney does not sell special passes, as some other theme parks do. Fast Pass tickets are available to all Disney guests. If you take advantage of grabbing those for popular attractions, you will definitely cut your line time down and it will be free.
Summer is a busy time! Visit on a weekday (never a weekend or holiday) to cut down on crowds as well. Tue or Wed seem to be the best days.

There is no special pass you can buy to cut the line. Pretty much everything at Disneyland involves waiting in a line. However, there are several ways to avoid waiting in really long lines.

Fastpass: At some of the more popular rides, you can get a "Fastpass" using your park ticket. Written on the Fastpass is a return time (an hour long time slot) for sometime later that day. If you come back to the ride during that return time, you can wait in a much shorter Fastpass line. Here's a list of all of the rides that have Fastpass (as well as a better explanation of what it is).

Single Rider: If you don't mind splitting up your group or riding alone, some rides have the option of Single Rider. When you use Single Rider, you act as a "seat filler"--you are placed wherever there is an empty spot. You wait in much shorter lines this way, but you have no choice as to where you sit and who you sit with.

Make sure you go to the more popular attractions, like Indiana Jones and Splash Mountain, first (and make sure you get to the park at opening), because these often have the longest lines (90+ minutes) and run out of Fastpasses quickly.

I hope you have fun at Disneyland!

NO ONE wants to wait in the lines! If EVERYONE lied to get a "special pass" to cut the lines, then that wouldn't really do much of anything, now would it? =P

But no, you can't "buy" special cut-in-line passes anywhere.

There are passes reserved for legitimately disabled people (and please please don't abuse that). But even with these passes, you don't really get on the ride sooner than everyone else. Basically, they make you wait in an alternative line. For instance, if the line is an hour long, you'll still have to wait for about 45-60 minutes anyway. It really doesn't cut any significant time off the waiting. It's just that people with certain disabilities can't wait in the queue lines or need specific help getting into and out of the attraction. That's really what the passes are for, just some extra help.

There ARE Fast Passes at certain attractions though. Check Disneyland.com for a guide on how to use them and also for a list of the attractions that offer them. That will cut down the wait time by a little bit.

You can also plan to go to the park during a much less crowded time. Try visiting the park in September or in January-February. Try going on a weekday. Don't go on any holidays. And go on a rainy day. A rainy February weekday has considerably less crowds.

But in my opinion? If you're not into waiting for things, you probably shouldn't go to Disneyland. There are lines for EVERYTHING there...attractions, shows, restraunts/food, stores, bathrooms, etc.

It's available for people who complete the Give a Day Get a Day volunteer program since you don't need a ticket they give you something else. All it does it allow you and 5 other friends to use the fast pass lane on the rides that use fast pass without having to get the fastpass tickets and come back at the specified time. So you and 5 friends can go right in the fast pass lane without waiting. If you have an annual pass or a multi-day pass they will offer the special fast pass. If you have an annual pass you can use the free ticket to renew you pass and save $72. That's what I did.

Go to the ride you want to go on, and they have a quickpass or whatever it's called. You get a ticket to go back to the ride in an hour or so. When you do, you go in the special line and only wait a few minutes. While you're waiting, you can go on the less popular rides.

You can get FastPasses for some of the rides, not all though. Some you just have to wait. The FastPass booths are usually somewhere near the ride. There are a lot of books you can buy that will help you a lot with that kind of thing.

there are a couple of ways to get through the lines quicker; however there are no special passes for purchase to be able to "cut".

one is go during the week, lines usually aren't as long.

they have whats called a fast pass. you get it then go back to a ride at a specified time and your wait is only minutes then.

the last thing is if there's anyone in your group that's disabled and in a wheelchair, those people along with up to 5 people in their group are able to enter most rides through the exit & end up getting on the rides quicker. (I know this sounds cheesy, but I am disabled & when my husband & I took the kids last Sept, we found that out in a quick hurry!) Most of the rides do require that the person in the wheelchair be able to get themelves to and from the wheelchair.

have fun!
