We are always subject to peer pressure because we all live in groups. But if you don't like the pressure you're getting, you can change the groups you belong to.

To overcome peer pressure, you must educate yourself on everything you are clearly against; educate yourself on what's negative about taking that action. To overcome peer pressure, you must understand your morals and what you stand for; what do you think is right and wrong. Overcoming peer pressure means standing tall and speaking out loud about why you made the decision to pass that choice up. Overcoming peer pressure is knowing that you made the right choice and being comfortable with it while you have a clear conscious of making the right decision. Overcoming peer pressure is not being able to allow others guilt you into anything just because everybody else is doing it. Overcoming peer pressure is taking care of your temple which is your body and mind.

Honestly peer pressure is something that you will run into all the time, but gladly i found a way to avoid it!
Most of the time I keep to my self, and I will be laying to you if I told you that I have a handful of friends. Personaly I dont need friends to be somebody. From time to time people tell me that I have issues cause I dont like chilling with lost of people. But the truth is that I don't tolerated stupidity. And I dont allow myself to be influenced but other people. Once you know who you are and what you want, make sure you stick to it.
Make sure your no is a no and your yes is a yes. But at the same time allow yourself to be reasonable. Cause in order for you to be firm you have to be careful of the decitions you take. People notice that you say one thing and do another and never do as you say, they will imidietly know that you are an easy target for peerpreasure.

Think about it!

Hey, obviously if you're under peer pressure, means you really will sell your soul to hang out with those people. The best thing is to not be so bent on hanging out with such people. Then you'll not be under pressure to do something or be something else for them. No one's worth the pains.

I don't understand why so many of you think that it is difficult to move on to new friends, new activities, and an atmosphere in which you are comfortable.

I did that many times, when I did not like what was going on within a particular group of friends. My children have all changed activities and friendships when the old group just got too out-of-line. In fact, one of them spent a lot more time on his studies--and got a full scholarship into a university--he had not been doing well prior to changing friends...
