I'd get a second opinion even if you have Hypochondria that needs to be medically assessed and dealt with. in a professional manner.

Ok, breathe, take it slow. For now, just relax & don't panic that you could have this & that illness or a few of them just because you seem to have some symptoms of some problems.
The internet & well meaning friends & relatives are not always the best place to be diagnosing yourself! We are always our own worst critics, so when a symptom, for example of Bi-Polar is feeling up & down, -All of us could be that because we all have our down times & our thrills- or 'highs' in life. But Bi-Polar doesn't affect most of us!

It sounds like you have some sort of disorder, espesially if your father suffered from schitzophrenia, mental health issues are passed down through generation often.

Though Darl you must get professionally diagnosed & if you have something, then your/ doctor or Pysciatrist, will prescibe you something for whatever is diagnosed.

Where it's probably a good idea your husband suggesting you don't use the internet to look for more illnesses etc, I don't think he should ban you from the internet & should be supporting you much more.

The best thing you can do is roll up at the ER tommorrow & ask to be helped. Tell them you feel like your losing your mind & need help. They are obligated to see you get suffiscient help. They will also help you with a group you may benefit from going to.
Rest easy until then & apart from showering your children with Love, Do something sweet & loving for yourself, that you've been wanting to do for a while.
God bless you & all the best -smile- Ladyeagle7

sounds to me like you are clinically depressed. it can get much worse over the winters because of the lack of sunlight - for some people this is what triggers it.

i had just the same sort of symptoms - the panic attacks, mood swings, anger, agoraphobia, losing touch with reality. i thought i was going crazy too, and that there must be something seriously wrong with me. it's really easy to see yourself in all kinds of pychiatric illnessess, because the symptoms overlap so much... the panic feeds the fears and finding out about the possibilities feeds the panic... which makes the symptoms worse, which feeds the panic....

take a deep breath, you're not alone. and it's probably not as *bad* as you think. :)

you do need to see another doctor if your current one is not taking you seriously. you need to find medication that is right for you. (it took me a few goes to get the right anti-dperessants). and it may well be that you don;t have to be on them for long to get *well*.

i found that the meds reminded me who i am!! they gave me space to look at new ways of dealing with some of the stress in my life, and that has really. learning some relaxation techniques helped me too. i was on meds for about 15 months, been off for about a year now. it was almost like my body had got into a pattern of reactions and chemical responses that i couldn't get it out of, and being on the meds put it back right... i have my up and down days like everyone else, but i'm not afraid of them now, i don't panic about them. all in all i've never been better :)

there is hope.

Well, the first thing I would do is find another doctor, because if your doctor doesn't take you seriously, then it's time to find a new doctor.

Even if you're a hypochondriac (which you may be), that can be treated with anti-anxiety medication. Don't be afraid of any medications though, they're designed to help you. If you had strep throat, you'd take the antibiotics, right? Mental illness is the same thing. You might also benefit from psychotherapy (aka talk therapy). Good luck!

First of all go see another doctor not the same one. Explain all your symptons so they can treat you the right way. I have a friend that is bipolar and I know the medicine is different than just being depressed and they had to change her medicine a few times before they found one that worked for her so go get a 2nd opinion and quick.

okay, stop panicking. you're making yourself worse.

can i point out that crazy people don't know that they are crazy.

stop reading up on illnesses. you're just worrying yourself. you are most likely a hypocondriac. i know that's not what you want to hear. but if you keep going to the doctors suggsting to him that you're suffering from all these illnesses he will just put you on placebos. if you are a hypocondriac you are taking up ime which could be used to see people who are actually ill.

i suffer from clinical depression, and i am unable to get a doctors appointment for an excess of 2weeks.

i would suggest that you receive some councilling to stop what could be attention seeking, and also the panic attacks.

Go see a different doctor than the first one you've seen. In soething this important, you should always get multiple opinions. See a doctor and do without your husband or realatives for your initial diagnosis. If therapy is perscribed, then I would absolutley suggest involving you family for support.

You and me are exactly alike. But at least you have the opportunity to go to a psychiatrist. There are none where I live, so I got to just get over it myself.

EDIT: LOL! John the psychiatric nurse.lol..srry
