Driving drunk and killing someone is excusable because alcoholism is a disease, but it's wrong to be gay.

Maybe I should have added that my comment was sarcastic.

I don't think being gay is wrong at all. People choose who they want to be with who are we to judge it's nobodys buissness and for people who say " god made adam and eve not adam and steve" Well Doesn't also say somewhere treat all people equally? If it doesnt concern you then let it be when the time comes that you have the same sex hitting on you then yes you have the right to say something, not physically do something, but say something about it. But if they are not bothering you its none of your buisness. It's racism against gays just like some people think that you shouldnt mix races. But yet the government has the power to ban same sex marriages? Isn't that a cross between state and religion? People act they the way they do because it's how they were raised. People need to siop putting their influences on their children. Let them grow and make their own opinions.

First the be conscious is discrimination. All rules are regulations on very own freedoms that are theoretically put in place for the earnings of society. There are actually not any rules against "gay" marriage". There are rules against a guy marrying a guy or a female marrying a women persons. That regulation applies to gays and straights, previous and youthful, of all ethnic origins. Now you assert why might a guy marry a guy till he grew to become into gay. There could be many motives. For economic earnings, coverage, citizenship, polygamy, bisexual, transexual, transgender. i do no longer think of those regulations pass an analogous attempt as different varieties of dicrimination

in a world where children are being killed everyday by drive by shootings, people are starving to death, the elderly are cast aside when they need their families the most and predators are coming out of the wood work praying on the most vulnerable it seems to me the people that think being gay is the worst thing in the world need to broaden the horizons a little and take a long look at the big picture.

You have hit upon one of the many hypocritical statements made by the tiny yet strident minority of "christians" who preach anti-LGBT hatred and bigotry.

They pick and choose certain verses to support their black-hearted prejudices, while blithely ignoring the ones about judging others, eating shellfish, cutting your hair, and who is next to be stoned by the village.

Mostly, they tend to ignore the most important messages of all, the ones about tolerance, justice, understanding, peace and love.

EDIT - I guess djhonda must be irony impaired. The whole point of the question is, how can you call being LGBT wrong but then lust? They are BOTH wrong. Get it? People who say otherwise are hypocrites (see my answer above.)

The Bible says being gay is wrong and it also says that lusting after someone's wife is wrong too. It's sad that being gay is such a horrible thing but it's ok to cheat on your wife/husband and have a child with that person and not tell your spouse. To me gay isn't wrong, but going outside of your marrige is wrong.

Christianity has a real problem with sexuality where as other religions do not. However, many religions do have problems with adultery but many ancient religions have embraced sex between the same sex. Lust is a nature feeling and as long as it is not acted upon, then it is find to lust after thy neighbor's wife.

A victimless crime- imposed only by people of 'faith'.
Those who are rational have no strange morals such as this.

Just move to a city where people can think for themselves a bit more, rather than following the old guy in the cloak.

being gay is better than cheating on someone at least no one gets hurt and you have a really good point. if you raped someone and got out of jail you get more respect than if your gay. This world is so f*cked up.

If you go by the Ten Commandments, look at number 10. Coveting your neighbor's wife is a big no-no.
