Act in local theaters, find a good agent if you are good, and be nice. People don't like spoiled people who make their lives miserable. Good Luck!

I was picked out of my school to be an actor in 2nd grade. I didn't care about acting, and thus didn't put any effort into it. Now I'm 15, like to act, and don't care about doing acting professionally, I act for the fun of it. Good Luck! again.

Start by taking an after school acting class. Once you get into High school join the Drama classes and audition for the productions. Also usually an after school acting academy might have some kind of production they put on. Just search around your area to see what is available.

Join the theater group in school. A lot of Community colleges have acting programs too. And look up local theater troupes and ask them about auditions. If you live in a larger city, watch the newspaper for auditions.

Get into acting at a local level first to build your skills. If your school has theatre (you may have to wait for high school), that is a great place to learn. Otherwise, check the internet or newpapers for acting groups near you, and get into them. When you have the skills, then you can check into professional auditions, get an agent, and so on.

School plays to start with. Then local community theater.

In college, study theater or the arts. Get your degree. If you don't make it on Broadway or in Hollywood, you will have an education to fall back on and you can teach!
