BARELY 24 hours after it suffered an earthquake which claimed at least 70 lives, Indonesia was thrown into mourning again yesterday when its jetliner, a Boeing 737-400 crash landed and burst into flame.

At least 21 persons were killed. Over 115 others escaped through emergency exits as smoke billowed from the wreckage, authorities and witnesses said.

It is the third mishap involving a commercial jetliner in three months. On New Year's Day, a jet plummeted into the sea, killing all 102 persons on board. Weeks later, a plane broke up on landing but there were no casualties

Earthquakes happen, but the airliner tragedies could be be caused by two things:
Poor aircraft maintenance, and / or poor training of flight crew's.

Sometimes I think some higher power is using Indonesia to play "Sim City". He already clicked on tsunami, earthquake and typhoon on the disaster control panel (If you played that game, you know what I mean). Now it's plane crash. I'm just waiting to see if he's gonna click on "alien invasion".
