Go to the doctor! No wonder why you have a fear of them -- you wait till the absolute last minute to go in. The infection isn't getting better becuase you aren't treating it properly.

You may have an ovarian cyst. You should see a doctor to be sure. Nothing to be scared about. He may try something like a hormone (I believe it's provera) to see if that makes it go away. You can have two types of cysts - watery or they may be ones you were actually born with (those are like the body trying to reproduce itself..contain bone, teeth, hair etc) which may have to surgically be removed (I had them removed a few times...the second type). Once they are gone you won't have the pain.
Try to get over your fear of doctors & hospitals and go get it checked out. Otherwise it'll start to weigh on your mind and you'll imagine worse things!
Although connected with your cycle, is there any chance you may have your appendix still?? Do you run a fever at the same time. If so, another possibility is appendicitis.

When I saw this question I thought of a kidney stone or infection or your appendix right away.
You mention consuming cranberry juice but what about water? Anyone whom has had a kidney stone should be drinking more water than anything. Please, just go to the doctor. Let them take urine samples, and possibly a cat scan. They may give you an IV so be prepared. Good luck and take care of yourself.

Hi, Please go to visit your doctor, you didn't say if your pain was in your stomach or your back, and it could be anything from a kidney infection, kidney stones, or even a cyst on your ovary.

I think you're going to have to try really hard to get over your phobia and go to the doctors. There is no way you can try and diagnose yourself over the internet with something like this.
Good luck

You could possible have cyst on your ovary, I was having pain in my side and my doctor did an ultrasound and found that I had a cyst and it causing pain. They can give you birth control bills to disolve it. They sometimes enlarge and have to removed.
