Hello all!! My fiance told me the other day he would love to go somewhere and see real fireflies. I thought it would be cool if i could find a hotel, or campgrounds here in the U.S. for us to go for our anniversary and see fireflies. I really don't know where to find them. Does any one have a good suggestion of where we could go??

Yes..you can see them most anywhere here in southern US.. I live in Louisiana. However, you will not be able to see them until the weather is good and warm..Summertime of course. There is a State Park here called Fontainebleu. You could camp there and am sure you will see them. But like i said..you have to wait for very late spring or summer.

Pretty much anyware in the lower half of the midwest. They are lots of trees and when the weather is humid, or right before a storm. So any national park or campground during the summer should do.

I live in Virginia and we have them here. They are awesome and I love them myself. They are also in Pennsylvania, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois and I'm sure lots of other states. I hope you all get to see them. Wait until late June before they start coming out.
Good Luck.
