I can tell you first the purpose of life. The purpose of life is to seek pleasure. Everything we do revolves around that, even those of us that do bad things on purpose are usually said to derive pleasure from that pain. Our bodies love to breathe and eat and sweat and our minds love and think and grow. We do what makes us feel pleasure.
The meaning of life is whatever meaning you define for yourself as a living being. You have freedom of choice, so your life can stand for anything. No others can define it for yourself. If you wish to use your life to pursue spiritual growth, then that is the meaning of life for you. If you wish to pursue worldly gains, that is your meaning of life. It is all self defined and non restricted.

To our eyes it appears to have no meaning but there is a reason why we go through this experience called life. We are evolving into higher conscious beings and finally are going to be reunited with the source of all consciousness i.e. God ( which is called salvation, nirvana or mukthi)

There is no meaning of life, You make it for yourself. For believers in it is a like worship, for someone it is money, power etc. But there is one basic property of life: progress. If look your meaning of life, choose anything you want, but make it progress.

He says that we are here only to perpertuate life.
