Hii...

Today is International Women's Day. I was reading different features on this day in a newspaper. While reading different successful and unsuccessful stories a question rise in my mind which i want to share with you all. What's youropinion about women's success or failure in science &Technology world. I have found many of my friends (both girl and boy) saying Technology is men's world. What you people think is it a men's world or there should not be any such mentality regarding education as anyone can comeout with flying colours through hard work and devotion??

Well, success in life is all about the spirit and logical approach to the solution with confidence. As long as you are confident and you are working towards goal with all your true efforts you will get the success (can't gurantee the timeline but it is tested true that you will get it).

SO, as long a girl or lady or woman has all what it takes to be winner she can be winner. I have so many "MAN" who claims S&T to be men's world and ends up without any great achievement. If you or your friends are worried about this, they must ignore those "WISE" males as success in life doesn't charge you for your sexual taste , it asks for your efforts.

Some people talks about lack of logical approach in females but, it's fact that in many (i wish i could say most) sectors females are more logical than their male counterparts.

So, to summarise, as answer of your question, "Yes, females can comeout with flying colors through hardwork and devotion as long as they meet the criteria to win."

Science and Technology is for the inquisitive mind. It does not depend on the gender of the body the mind is connected. The math and sciences can train a person how to think in a logical manner, but it up to the individual to focus on the topic. Inspiration and imagination is required when investigating new avenues and new frontiers. Males do not corner the market on these activities. In some instances, males are more inclined to try to make the facts fit there perception while women are more inclined to let the facts shape their perception.

It's absolutely not a man's world! It was in the past, but only because women weren't allowed to enter those fields.

I am a scientist specializing in behavior analysis. I know women who work in computer science, ITT, biology, physics, mathematics. There have been several female astronauts, and they are scientists. There are many female engineers.

Definitely women can and do succeed in these fields.

Oh come on, we are in 2007. Both men are woman are smart.
This shouldn't even be a question. Women are now given the chance to learn as much as men, so watch out boys!

You sound as though you're surprised...Women have been way up there in science and technology for many years now. Many doctors, nurse practitioners, computer geniuses, etc.

We live near Ratheon (electronics, planes, etc.)--plenty of women in high positions there. My mom worked at Loral Electronics for over 20 years, my sister-in-law at IBM, my niece at Soni...

It sounds as though you just, right now, learned that women went to college and into these fields--they've been there for quite some years...

I think that women's success in anything is nothing but honorable! Women have worked so hard to gain men's respect in so many areas. It may be a man's world our there, but that doesn't mean that they're any smarter than we are!
