no longer something to do with the seat place. Airbag easy is an MOT fail now with new regs in on 01 April in basic terms 5 days in the past - it would have surpassed final month. If the middle seat belt does not artwork appropriate that too is a fail. As you have been putting on seat covers you'll be able to possibly have disturbed the electrical powered wiring to the seat belt buckle on one front seat which has brought about the easy to return on. regrettably even after regardless of it particularly is that has made the easy come on is fixed the easy can in user-friendly terms be close off by technique of hookingdiagnostic diagnstic kit at a storage. could could be a Vauxhall storage or perhaps any first rate one so examine that as quickly as you e book it in to be carried out. yet another observe - your motor vehicle maximum possibly has seat area airbags and those should not be obstructed by technique of seat covers - technically that too is an MOT fail now

the 1st question is easy that problem is caused by a faulty air bag compresser that fills the air bag up when the car starts up are there could be a senscer that is bad too we have seen some deflait at times due to a sensor problem and yes it will fail the test if not fixed properly cause the computer will send a signal to the light and the sensor to stay on untill it is fixed and will not go out untill the computer is reset and that is a easy thing to do try taken the battery cable off the posative side and wait 5 minutes and the put it back on and that should reset the computer and the sensor ok hope this helps......and it should cost all that much to fix a simple problem like this one ok thanks

It comes and goes on and off in my astra off the same year all the time, on mine its the sensor which causes it, ive had replaced which stopped it for nearly two years, but its back again now. I generally ignore it, but weather or not the airbags will actually fire in an accident is anyone's guess.
As for MOT , the airbag although pretty much standard on newer cars is still seen as optional safety equipment. and therefore not checked. Mines passed many mot's with the light blinking away.

Go and see a dealer asap, as your airbag is switched off and will not go off if you have an accident. Basically something on the airbag system isn't working so for safety sake it switches off so it doesn't go off accidentally. It probably wouldn't fail the MOT as long as your seatbelts buckle correctly. See dealer for potential costs, as it could be a number of things, and these all have different poces.

It is not a testable item so it will not fail .Since its a safety related item you should get it attended to .Very often on vectras its the squib driver that's faulty that is the air bag connector. You need a Vauxhall dealer to check it out with Tech 2 diagnostic tool.

It's not an MoT item. It may just be something silly like a loose connector under the seat, or it may be something else. Until you get it checked you won't know, and you ought to get it checked 'cos you don't want the thing to go off in your face or, worse, fail to go off at all in an accident.
