Oh hun, I did the same thing, within 2 weeks of finding out I was pregnant my Boobs just exploded in size! How about pampering yourself, do a facial, style your hair. Find a top that really shows off your cleavage to its best. (I bought a Tshirt that read "Im not fat! Im pregnant!" and on those days I wore it.) Everyones body changes differantly, some lucky ladies barely ever show. Its tough on the ol' personal vision of yourself I know, especially when you dont seem to have the control over your body like you may be used to. As much as I struggled with my sudden jump to feeling frumpy, it still amazes to this day that there were a lot of guys who really go for the whole pregnant woman thing!
Chin up, it will level off. Stay healthy food wise, keep active, its great you are drinking plenty of water. The hormones tend to make things feel worse. Trust me your not the only 5 wk pregnant mum to be feeling like this. Why not find a antenatel group, or ask your midwife/health proffessional if there are any pregnancy groups in your area? It amazed me when I found a group, just how different we all looked.
Keep positive, your body is looking after your baby.

Don't listen to anyone telling you that it's too much too soon. Everyone is different. I also gained a lot very early on- and was eating healthy. i was eating tons of salads and smoothies- craving anything cold and refreshing. My chest and hips grew super fast, but eventually it all slowed down and i started growing at a "normal" rate. Buy some pants a size up, and some great v-neck tops-- take advantage of the increased bra size while you can! Eventually the size of the belly will shadow the chest, so accentuate the girls while you can and try to enjoy your pregnancy! Worry about getting back to your old shape after your baby's here and healthy!

What you are feeling is normal but try to overcome it because when you are sad your baby can feel the tension. If you keep feeling depressed, talk to your doctor.Take it easy the time goes by so fast then you can go back to your size. I used to love the excuse "I'm eating for two" so I could eat anything I wanted, but I always had good servings of veggies, iron and protein. I gained almost thirty pounds and I had gestational diabetes but I loved how special I felt to be pregnant, big and all. But now it's all about the baby so enjoy. You'll be fine and I wish you luck.

A lot of it is water weight and bloating which will go away as soon as your baby is born..dont worry gaining weight is normal and the one true key of having a healthy baby...4 lbs means your baby is growing stronger and stronger everyday..dont be depressed it is not good for your baby..I have gained just about 20 lbs so far and im only 19 weeks =\
i just know that my baby is getting what he/she needs and that i will lose most of it after birth...good luck and keep doing what u are doing,u are doing it right..

I understand completley.....i am also pregnant (2nd time around) and with both my pregnancies I gained 90% of my weight in the 1st 5 months and at that time it dosent look like a baby bump....it looks like your getting fat. Give it some time your weight will reach a plateau and slow down.....try not to get down on yourself......weight gain is a necessary part of growing a healthy baby. Good Luck and Congrats!!!

Don't worry put on a maternity shirt and wear it proud, pretty soon you'll have your nice bump down there and as long as you gain the weight healthily there is nothing to feel bad about, just think about the little baby you are carrying and it should make you feel better. Good Luck and Congratulations

If your depressed now, how will you feel later on in the pregnancy when you really put on the weight and go up sizes?
You'll have to just get over yourself, realize that this is temporary, concentrate on being good to your baby, and worry about what you look like after birth.

I am 24 weeks.
Relish in the beauty of pregnacy. I have my self pity days of whining about being fat, and my husband quickly reassures me that I am not.
It is really hard in the beginning, when you look and feel heavy and not showing that you are pregnant. But that will pass and you will feel beautiful again.
And the depressed feeling will come and go as you go through different stages.
Good Luck to You and your baby.

OK first you need to get in firmly in your head that pregnant is NOT fat!! Its BEAUTIFUL Congrats on your baby! Are you thin? cause with the first baby, even more if your real thin to start, you notice changes quickly. I was 18 (married all of 2 months) when I got pg the first time. I weighed all of 100lbs and started showing at 10 weeks. Could not wear any of my clothes anymore.
My email is knight_janette@yahoo.com if you wanna chat.
Good luck and God Bless

Hey there Miss Preggers. I've read that if you're underweight before you become pregnant you will gain 30-45 pounds. If you were not underweight before you got pregnant don't worry unless you've been eating everything in sight.
