Absolutely they can be equal. The question is not about the sexes by themselves being equal, but equality lies in their relationship to each other. Each needs to respect and value the other, and treat each other with kindness. There does not need to be a constant power struggle.
I think the key is to not treat each other as if we can't do something. For example, mothers have a tendency to spoil their sons, to not make them responsible and participate in the care of the household. So many men grow up clueless as to how to manage a household. Likewise girls are sometimes brought up to believe their task in life is to get married and keep house, rather than work to support themselves. This is dangerous, even for women who want this kind of life, because if her husband gets hit by a bus one morning, what will she do to survive?
Both sexes need to know how to be self-sufficient both in managing a home and in working for a salary. This way they can not only manage their lives well and independently, therefore making themselves the equal of the other, but they have a healthy respect for the job their partner is doing, should their labor be divided. If they both work, they'll know how to share things evenly.
So you see it's all in the creation of the relationship and in life. There is nothing inherent about any of it.

Equality is not a accomplishment for a woman,it's a disaster. Equality means swinging a sledge hammer in June , July and August sun and hot weather, building dams and bridges overhauling diesel engines, felling trees with heavy chainsaws and other brutal and hard manual labor. Yes there ar women who can and do it but they are in a small minority. I do believe in equal pay for equal work you bet! women live longer than men, the good ones are better the bad ones are worse,i could go on but won't and yes women are equal to men and in many ways superior i will give you that freely. my wife does not want eaqul rights.she is a very inteligent lady and knows when she is well off !!

I see a Feminist as a person who is cofused. A woman is one of the most complex creations the almighty has to his credit.
But some or most women pretend to be equal to man and in that process down play her much superior virtues.

I absolutely see women as having a fair chance of becoming equal to men as long as said woman doesn't become a man-hater.

Women are inherently different from men. I have loved you with an everlasting love, I have called you, and you are mine.
