The lawn mower was invented in 1830 by Edwin Beard Budding, an engineer from Stroud, Gloucestershire, England.

On May 9, 1899 John Albert Burr invented one of the first rotary-blade lawn mowers. This Black inventors Patent number is #624,749. Reference:
