The veil over the face is a skin covering which usually covers the face or eyes. It does occur sometimes and for people who have it they are said to have been given the gift of foresight. They can predict things of the future. I have heard a story of a man who had this and he could predict when people's lives were in danger of death. He was very accurate at his predictions and afterwards would get very tired. I know a woman who can give you more information on this, but her website is not up and running right now. :-S Have been searching online there is another name for this and I cannot find it right now. I will keep workin on this.

Well I for one was born with a veil. Which means the dreams you have when you're young will or have already happen. Good or bad. Now, dont try and remember what the dream was about, because you'll shift the outcome. Not many of us have this high level of spiritual engagement. If you have it, use it. You cannot change the good, only the bad. That's if you remember what it was about clearly.

You're not talking about the baby being born with the ambiotic sac still on its head? Many people keep the cauls, considering them to be good luck, but I've heard that when they are burned it is because otherwise they believe the child will become a vampire when they die! Were the priests or parents Polish or Czech, perhaps? It is believed that "caul bearers" have the gift of second sight, i.e. ESP.

We are all born with a veil, but it is not over your face. It is a veil hiding the knowledge we have, so that as we grow, we can uncover, awaken to all of it. That's part of the journey. The veil is covering your spirituality, wisdom, knowledge, etc. Fascinating subject!

The actual thing this refers to is when a baby is born with the uterine sac intact and over their face. Its fairly rare, but does happen. In the past it was considered a sign that the person would have second sight or be a mystic.

Yes, they exist, but is not true what they say about the baby who is born with a veil. Is just a myth.

It is properly called a caul, a remnant of the amnium that envelops the foetus.
In Germany it was/is considered a sign of good luck, in Ireland they say that you never drown if you keep it, and in Mediterranean countries it is supposed to give you second sight.

My father was born with a veil and it was supposed to mean he would never die by drowning and he was a fisherman. He died of old age.
