My doctor told me that I'm due May 3rd which would make me 32 weeks today. But I know for a fact that my lmp was July 4, 2006 which would mean that I'm due April 10th not May 3rd and that I'm 35 weeks. This is my second daughter and she's always been measuring two weeks more than she should according to the May 3rd due date. My baby is trying to come early and I've been prescribed two pills to try to stop my labor yet they haven't worked so that's why I'm asking because if I'm truly 35 weeks then I don't want to stop my labor. I have an appointment with him Tuesday should I say something about my due date?

I haven't said anything to him. But I am sure when I started my last period because it was Fourth of July lol. But he's just been going by the wheel and measurements of the baby's head which are giving him two different numbers. I feel like my baby is older. He delivered my first and I trust him but I feel like he's wrong about this baby.

Thanks you guys. I'm patient it's just that I'm stressing out over taking these pills and running back and forth to the hospital and if my due date is truly earlier than I want nature to take it's course that's all. And if it's later then I'll do everything to make sure that my baby is healthy and stays in as long as she needs too. I'm not a selfish person or impatient. I just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing for my unborn child.

By all means you should have already and I you have I apologize. If the baby is measuring two weeks older, and your calculations make her two weeks older, chances are she IS two weeks older and the doctor should of taken that into account. Good Luck and God Bless, I hope you have a healthy baby!

You should. Don't be afraid to question your doctors. They aren't perfect, just like the rest of us. The nurse or he may have written down the wrong information at one of your early appointments. If you are positive that July 4, 2006 was the first day of your last period, then you are due around the week of April 8, 2007. Good luck.

ABSOLUTELY!! You know your body better than any doctor..for sure. My poor sister listened to her doctor the first time she had a baby and although she knew she was in labor they kept sending her home. She ended up with an emergency c-section because the baby couldn't get through her pelvic bones..this was AFTER 38 hours of labor. PLEASE believe in what you know to be true. Talk to the doctor.
I have 6 kids and truly..the doctors do not always know best. 3 out of my 6 kids were born without a doctor in the room because no one would listen to me.
Good Luck
Talk to the doctor..those meds can't be good if you're right.

I would most definitely tell your Doctor! You should tell him everything that is bothering you especially when you are pregnant! It is not good for you or the baby if you are worried. Whats the worst thing that could happen?? He says your wrong! And what if you are right...you will just feel better and I think in order to have a good pregnancy you need to fell great!
I changed my doctor 3 times (1st pregnancy) I just didn't feel comfortable, I mean she was "nice" but I needed someone to cater to my needs!! We pay good money!
I hope this helps! Just follow your gut! if he gives you attitude, kick him to the curb! There is great Doctors out there~
Congrats

your LMP date isn't always very accurate....not everyone ovulates at the standard textbook times. your dr may have given you a later due date because of ultrasound measurements. but even AT 35 weeks, labor SHOULD be prevented!! you are not considered full term till 37 weeks. although at 35 there aren't as many complications, but it can still be frightening. take it from me....my 2 girls were born at 32 and 36 weeks. BUT i was also given steroid shots to help lung maturity 6 weeks before the delivery of both of them. my first at 32 weeks had to have a short hospital stay (which is miraculous...she should have has at LEAST a 1 month stay) and baby #2 went home with me, but still had some complications. her oxygen levels werent stable at first and her heart rate was a little fickle. she also had jaundice problems and had to have special treatment for about 2 weeks after her birth. it was BETTER than hospitalization, but still difficult!

you MAY want to talk to your dr about your due date concerns, but listen to them if they still lean towards the later one! i hear your pain though...i'm almost 31 weeks and have a history of preterm labor/delivery. waiting can be so frustrating! ESPECIALLY if you get put on bedrest! but trust me, the wait is SOOOO worth it! it;s so much better to have to wait a few more weeks to have healthy fullterm baby than to have the baby a few weeks early and have MONTHS of stress because they are more suseptible to things around them that can make them more sick than a fullterm baby! take it from someone who KNOWS!

good luck! we are ALMOST there!! :) just be patient~ :)

okay, the formula used to calculate the date of birth is known as Nagele's rule, its actually named after a german obstetrician named Franz K. Nagele. to calculate the estimated date of delivery you would subtract 3 months from the beginning of your last cycle and add 7 days to that date which would make your due date april 11th. so of course your EDD(Expected Due Date) wolud be april 11th. there is no way for sure to tell exactly when you are due but they usually say give or take two weeks. if you are concerned talk to your doc about your EDD.

Honey, let them stop the labor. If you are wrong and you're only 32 weeks, that baby will have a lot of problems. Even at 35 weeks, she's not ready to be born yet. I had my girls at 35.4 weeks and had it not been for the steroids I recieved, they'd have been much worse off. Trust in your doc and let them stop the labor. Best of luck to you.

I would get a second opinion. Your best bet would be to ask to see another physician in the same office. If that's not possible then make an appointment somewhere else and explain the situation.
