Bring around £200,000 with you and you won't have any problems.

Unless you are going to be renting privately or even buying a property...which is VERY expensive here...you will not get any help towards the cost of housing,or even be eligible to go on a waiting list for social housing...which is a very long wait anyway because there are so few available nowadays. I think as well, that unless you are coming here on a working holiday visa you will have to have a job sorted out before you get here...try looking on the immigration site for further information...

Claim asylum...it seems to work for every bugger else. Even better you won't have to get a job, but get everything free
