I'm running win/98SE, recently booted up and the hardware installation box appear, have not install haveware

now im unable to connect to the internet, that my problem,
can not ping, have config error, IM me for more info

98 had the habbit of sometimes loosing drivers. Based on what you are telling us your network card was the "new hardware" box that was found. When that box appears try using c:\windows\system\ini as the source for the driver.

You can see what is missing from the control panel - system box. Just re-install the correct driver for what is missing and you should come back to life.
