Who supplies the music that is heard in Wal-Mart, Kmart, Winn-Dixie, and other grocery and retail stores?

I hear alot of stores I shop at playing the same type of music, and sometimes in the same order. I just want to know what company feeds the music to the stores. I'm talking about what you hear over the intercom.

I believe it is a service that they subscribe too but I agree with the first answerer, It is Satan. Every wear you go you hear music, why is that? I don't want it in my head everywhere I go. Who knows they may be playing subliminal messages telling you to spend all your money.

There are several companies that do it, And it's not a totally uniform thing, so not all Wal -Mart stores or all K-marts etc will have the same provider, It tends to be a decision more local than that given different regional tastes and avilability.

But some of the more popular providers are Galaxy Radio, Sirius Satellite and XM Satellite. (Those last two are merging). There are also more local stations which do it as well.
