you will in time; your heart will follow your head; hopefully you don't ever forget it, for one it has been a part of who you are today and for two, you don't want to ever allow yourself to be treated like that again! hats off to you for getting out! You should be proud of yourself.

Resist the urge. You've done the right thing. He never respected you enough to treat you the way you should have been treated. It's time to look ahead not back. For the day to day moments, when thoughts of him arise, put them away. Talk within yourself (what psychology calls self-talk) and remind yourself why you left and that you are better off without him. Continue to do this until those thoughts dissipate and finally disappear.

Go to a bar find someone you are physically attracted to, and let your body do the talking and everything will fall into place. You will forget about your boyfriend a lot sooner then you think. I know this because some girl did that to me it. I had no idea who she was, but we both ended up having a fantastic time.

It takes time and 10 years is a long time to spend with someone. Spend time with the people who care about you and by yourself to get to know who you are.
