WALK WALK WALK til you cant walk anymore!!!!! That's the only thing that worked for me!! My Best Friend took castor oil and when into labor 1 hour later but it was all of a sudden HARD labor she almost didn't make it to the hospital. Needless to say she delivered him in 2 hours and had cleaned herself out well before that. If you don't mind being on the potty for an hour and then going into labor really really fast castor oil is the way to do it.

I don't think there are really any proven methods of naturally inducing labor. I tried it all. I do not recomend castor oil, it's disgusting and it didn't work. I would just try walking to move the baby down and put the pressure on your cervix to open and hopefully contract. Good luck hope you have a healthy baby soon!!!!

Just keep in mind that in a week or less you will have that beautiful baby in your arms, if the sex didn't work then take the castor oil, it will not hurt you unless it puts you into labor and it's probably a good thing to take if you are planning to go into labor soon as it will clear you out, less chance of defecating during labor. Good Luck and God Bless, I hope the time passes quickly.

I have also just had a baby of two. The best answer I can give you is when the baby is ready he/she will come... I was dilated at 3cm for about a month when the Doctor finally made a due date on the next Tuesday she came on that Friday, so sweetie all I can say to do is walk and have sex. But they choose when they are ready.

Induced labour tends to be more intense and painful for the woman, often leading to the increased use of analgesics and other pain-relieving phamaceuticals (Vernon, 2005). This cascade of intervention has been shown to lead to an increased likelihood of caesarean section delivery for the baby. (Roberts 2000). Inductions should only be undertaken for significant medical reasons, but some feel that doctors show increasing propensity toward induction simply for personal convenience or to relieve load on hospital facilities. "[Induction] enables doctors to practice daylight obstetrics," says Dr. Marsden Wagner, a neonatologist who served for 15 years as a director of women's and children's health in industrialized countries for the World Health Organization. "It means that as a doctor, I can come in at 9 a.m., give you the pill, and by 6 p.m. I've delivered a baby and am home having dinner."

It all depends on when your baby is ready to come out!! At about 39 weeks I was trying everything, I went for long walks everyday, had sex, ate spicy food, went for a bumpy ride, tried some squats... She just didnt want to come out. I'm now 40 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I've stopped trying, I guess I'm just waiting for her to decide it's right to come out :)

I know it sucks being uncomfortable, but it's almost over!

i so know how you feel!!! im due in 5 days and going crazy, i dont suggest castor oil, i wont go near it, not with the stuff i heard, they say doggy style is supposed to "strip the membranes", unfortunatly it just hurts my back, this is my first child though, so even though my due date is in 5 days, im expecting at least another week :( good luck

Go for a long walk (not easily done, I know). Nipple stimulation is also supposed to work. And keep up with the sex--it can't hurt (unless it hurts!)
