Melinda Doolittle....that girl can sing her butt off. I loved her song " I am Woman", but I don't know the original artist. Can anyone help me out?

Yep, Etta James sang this song....

it was used for a commercial for "Enjoli" perfume back in the 70's and 80's...

"I can bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan and never never ever let you forget you're a man...cuz I'm a wommmmannnn, ENJOLI!"...

W-O-M-A-N is the name of the song, originally by Etta James. I am Woman is a different song sung by Helen Reddy.

I think Helen Reddy did the original (way back in the seventies or late sixties)

yeah, she is a pro but she moves stiff and then acts like she doesn't believe she should get all the praise when she is done singing. Seems like an ACT to me. BUT, she can sing.
