I do not mean that you can sue him, I mean his moral responsibility:
1) This man is pushing people who have an unnatural body, instead of pushing good wrestlers. So, they can hardly expect to be pushed without roids.
2) The WWE wrestlers are not insured. They are only paid a very little salary if they do not wrestle, so many of them wrestle although they are injured. They can only do so by taking pain killers.
3) The WWE wrestlers have to wrestle for 5 days a week (not only on RAW or SD, but also on house shows!). The human body cannot take this strain. They also spend so much time on the road that their smaller children sometimes do not recognize them when they are at home. I think you must consider this when you talk about their drug abuse.
4) McMahon's "Wellness Programm" is a farce. As long as the wrestlers make money, he doesn't care whether they take drugs or not.
Many wrestlers passed away due to steroids, pain killers, and other drugs. What do you think? Can he be blamed?

Janedoefans, McMahon would not have to bann moves if he only employs wrestlers who can wrestle. Many of his wrestlers are not trained well and long enough to know how to do and how to take a move properly.

To all of you who say that nobody forces them to become wrestlers or that they just love it:
By this, you say that wrestlers cannot become old. There are more wrestlers dying than any other professional athletes are. So you want to tell me that this is alright, because the wrestlers know about it? Can't we expect that our athletes get older? Can't we expect that McMahon creates better working conditions?

Yes I believe that Vince McMahon is responsible for many wrestlers early demise and personal problems in their life, but to be fair I think it is just a continuation of an attitude based in greed, that was around before Vince ever even took over the business from his father. I have heard of wrestlers in the old NWA days loading up on pain killers, working out and then numbing their knees just so they could be able to get through a match. Either that or drinking themselves into a near stupor backstage just to dull their pain or to cope with the mental strain of the hard life. However I don't think there is any reason why wrestlers should be on the road 300+ days a year in modern times, especially when they are employed by a company with National exposure and don't have to bounce from territory to territory. It is just pure greed on behalf of the McMahons wanting to milk every last cent out of the market, when they could still make a very good profit by cutting down their number of shows, even if they had to slightly raise the price of tickets. It is almost like working an animal to death, and is the reason there are so many more injuries in the us that Japan who wrestle a stiffer style of match, but give their wrestlers time off throughout the year to recover. To those who say that the wrestlers are to blame and have a choice, well not if they want to stay employed they don't. Not unless they want to go back to the indies for less money and live an even more rugged life of travel to earn a living we even less security. Is he the ultimate bad guy in terms of this kind of behavior by promoters? Sadly no, Fritz Von Erich is probably the ultimate example, The man literally had a hand in destroying all of his own sons except one, even Vince McMahon can't say that, and reportedly steered Shane away from the in-ring side of the business for the very reason that he knew how it grinds up wrestlers and spits them out.

Vince may not have been the worst, but he is certainly up there pretty close. It is well know that the WWE is not a good place for wrestlers with families, wrestlers who will speak up on their own behalf or need time off to deal with personal problems. Vinces attitude is basically give your life to the WWE, and in return he will give you a little bit of money, and some fame, but then cast you off when he has no use for you. I also agree that the WWE Wellness program is a farce, and is nothing but a way for a guy who has been under investigation by the federal government before to take the potential eye off of himself after so many wrestlers have died before their time. I think it is also a given that McMahon doesn't care about drug use, he actually didn't even want to give Kurt Angle time off, and instead wanted him to rehab on the road while fulfilling his schedule. The only reason he has cracked down on other guys is because they have done something to embarrass him. Neither does he care about steroid use, and in fact it is quite obvious that he actually promotes it. He may not be the guy handing them out to the wrestlers, but it is common knowlege that bigger and more muscular is always better in the WWE, and Vince could care less if that comes through chemical enhancement, in fact it is almost assuredly a policy like "dont ask, dont tell". Don't get caught and embarrass Vince McMahon and everything is coming up roses as long as the money is flowing in.

And why should Vince McMahon take the majority of blame for wrestlings problems? Simply put because he has put himself in a position of complete dominance by destroying all his competition. He no longer has the excuse that he has to run up against WCW or AWA or the NWA territories and work his wrestlers to death to stay on top. TNA is arguably up and coming but are not there yet and don't get near the national exposure or have the money making schedule of WWE. You can only look squarely at Vince and say it is greed that continues his longstanding policy, as Bret Hart put it in similar words, "treating wrestlers like circus animals and then taking them out back and putting a bullet in their head."

I think McMahon is the worst "franchise" owner in the history of sports. First of all WWE is pushing for huge guys, not just wrestlers. And like you said his pay and wellness plan is crap. I think also that there are certain wrestlers that are hazards to the company. Kahli for instance killed a kid when he was training to become a wrestler. He was so big and paired with a 5'5'' 150 lb cruiserweight to train with, he put the kid on his shoulders and did an electric chair drop, and then did it 2 more times, and the kid died of sever trauma. Yet this man is being paid to wrestle. he should be in jail. So yes he is to blame

Ultimately we are all responsible for our own decisions. Yes Vince may encourage wrestlers to do things that will have long term effects and consequences, but they don't have to wrestle for him. TNA is now a viable option as well as the independent circuit. If the wrestlers can't look at stories like Pillman, Hennig, Hawk and so many more then they are making the mistake and can't blame Vince.

I don't think so. I think Vince is a snake but the wrestlers know the consequences. They can do other things besides wrestle. Look at Stone Cold, Goldberg and the Rock. They are out making moves. Shawn Michael's and Rick Flair own wrestling schools. They can become trainers.

Well he is very strict with the steroids if he suspects it thats why HHH stopped taking it. Plus, wrestlers wrestle for themselves they know the consequences that wrestling has. They know they can get seriously injured but they do it because its inside them. They are all accountable for their mistakes and injures. In fact, Vince banned moves that were injuring peoples necks like the piledriver but he is not to be blamed except for OWEN HARTS DEATH. Plus no1 makes these wrestlers do drugs, everything a wrestler does is their own doing and no1 else is to be at fault for their own mistakes.

yes i do ! I believe he is responsible for Owen harts' death . Owen did not want to do the stunt but Vince told him do it or you are fired and Owen being a family man and being so dedicated to his family he did it and look what happened.
Back in the late 80's early 90's Vince was pushing all his wrestlers to use steriods . Now it is all catching up with the wrestlers such as eddie brian pilliman ect.

I think we're all forgetting about Owen Hart's "accident". He died during a show, so yes Vince is responsible for his death. Owen was not responsible for his own death, that wouldn't make sense. As for others, Vince wasn't responsible for all their deaths. Eddie Guerrero had a heart attack, Vince wasn't responsible. Bam-Bam and Mr. Perfect were addicted to drugs, Vince wasn't responsible. There are numerous other wrestlers who have died and Vince wasn't responsible for their deaths.

to a point degree I'll agree. but it really IS the wrestlers decision to take or not to take. they aren't forced down their throats but Vinnie wants them so big that they have no choice but to take something to enhance their build or never make it on Vinnie's circuit. So in a way YES I believe that it is Vinnie's fault for SOME of the premature deaths in the wrestling industry.

I don't think he's solely responsible, these guys know what they are getting into when they sign on.I think even knowing the long term effects that it's gonna take on them, they wouldn't second guess it.They want the fame/glory,and they are going to do what it takes to get it.They could always say no and choose a different profession!

I agree with "Hi". Wrestlers choose to take steroids, and work themselves to death. The manager just pays them and tells them who they are wrestling.
