I have the updated version.
The cures are cleanses to detoxify the body. I've read the book, also read the naysayers comments on quackwatch.
What he says in the book makes sense. Nothing he says is out in left field, wacko sounding, just good common sense.

Think about the additives in our food and water that weren't there 50 yrs ago. We have no idea what those chemicals do long term. The food industry certainly doesn't want to find out that they are bad.
The drug companies would lose gazillions if no one needed their drugs anymore.
It's just common sense.

I have a friend G, whos Mom had cancer. Sadly after painful chemo and radiation she died. While she was still alive, however, G read the book, hoping to help her mom. 2 mos before her moms' death, G was diagnosed with Stage 5 uterine cancer and given no more than 3 months to live. After a second oncologists consultation: basically, "go get your affairs in order, all we can do is manage the pain" G arranged to begin colonics. She had 30 colonics in 45 days, ate nothing but organic foods, and some protein powder.
She's been cancer free for 7 yrs.

My friend R always got yeast infections, 3-4 a year! After the Candida cleanse, no more problems. It's been 2 yrs.

I had heartburn every day. It didn't matter what I ate, everything gave it to me. I was eating a bottle of antacids a week. All I did was alkalize my body and I haven't had heartburn now for almost 2 yrs.
I couldn't use enough moisturizer to stop my dry skin from itching. I tried probably 10 different kinds, anywhere from $8 to $19 a bottle. I put a shower filter in my bathroom, got rid of the chemicals in my water and, what do you know...no more dry itchy skin!
Yeah, the guy is making loads of money from his book, good for him!
Good for me, G and R too. There'a 3 of us that have been 'cured' by his cures!

It is a good book, for the most part on the suggestions he gives. However, the book is mostly a rant againt the pharma and insurance companies. Where I may agree with most of his claims about the companies, I do not think it belongs in a book that is titled "Natural Cures" since 99% of the book is a rant and the remaining 1% does he offer some insights to helpful "alternative" health tips. I like his enthusiasm, but if he is going to write a rant book, title it appropriately. In today's world, it is easy enough to go to your favorite search engine and look up the info he gives and see the pro's and con's to each tip. As always, never do anything blindly when it comes to your health. Go ask your doctor, chiropractor, physical therapist, nutritionist, etc... And do not take their word as golden 100% all the time too. Trust your instinct and run with that. It is your health and you are allowed to do anything you want (for the most part- obvious situations notwithstanding- causing harm to yourself). Have fun treading the waters of your own health. OWN YOUR OWN POWER!

I didnm't read it, because I was turned off by the fact that Trudeau is a criminal.

The book is basically a giant "sales letter" for his newsletter. The source of the book is apparently three different health books that used to sell on clickbank. It provided great sensationalism and sold a lot of books.

But as you can see here this FTC release, Trudeau is the only person is history to have been banned from ever being in an infomercial again.

There are many things in the book which are a shadow of the truth. People who refer to this stuff as "unsubstantiated wive's tales" tend to lack the research background to know the difference and do not realize that modern pharmacology derives from the naturally occuring chemicals found in the roots and herbs from nature. They can't be Patented so the drug companies do not have a financial incentive to support natural versions of the artificial copies they make, Patent and put into their drugs.

So take it all with a grain of salt. ;-)

I read the book and found it to have a bit of interesting information. However, most of the time, it would not provide the 'cure' it would simply state... 'if you wanna know, go to my website'. Once you go to the website, you must become a member and subscribe to a newsletter or something to that effect to get more information. I was disappointed.

I have read his book and yes there is a lot of useful information. However, i would never just rely on one source for information about the natural products industry. I try to gather information from a variety to make an informed decision. I subscribe to a newsletter from News Target.
