hmmm good question but why shouldn't you care??? I dont know I just like to ask reverse psychology questions....but normally there are certain things you should care about and others you shouldnt worry about.....I bet you will get some broad range answers to this one.....Have a great day!!!

It creates a self-fulfilling prophecy:
When you care about something/someone, they become worth caring about. Caring, and being cared about, make both you and the object of your regard more valuable.

There's a downside, of course:
As with all positive feedback loops, the difficulty is to avoid randomness, delusion, and excess.
